INTERVIEW WITH MARCO STUFF ABOUT IMMUNOASSAY

During the WHX Labs Dubai exhibition, Marco Stuff, Immunoassay Product and Sales Manager at STRATEC and Diatron, shared insights into his career at STRATEC, industry trends and selected success stories.

Besides biochemistry and hematology, our customers also choose CLIA and ELISA platforms to equip their laboratories. Immunoassay analyzers are central to modern laboratory diagnostics, as they enable highly sensitive and specific detection of biological analytes, particularly where conventional clinical chemistry methods are not sufficiently selective or sensitive. Marco and his team play a key role in bringing immunodiagnostic solutions to market and in supporting partners throughout the entire lifecycle.

Over the years with the company, his roles have constantly focused on Immunoassay. His responsibilities involve instrumentation mainly for corporate-branded immunoassay platforms and multi-site collaborations, as well as sales and after sales services.

He mentioned that immunoassay instruments provide clear benefits for end users in terms of quality and reliability. By working with a highly qualified distribution network, we strive to provide excellent end-user support before, during and after purchase.

In a constantly evolving IVD environment, continuous product development and sustained R&D investment are essential to remain competitive.

Staying ahead of industry trends is key, and Marco highlighted several focus areas for the future. Connectivity to modern laboratory environments will become increasingly important, transforming medical devices from standalone systems into integrated components of digital healthcare ecosystems. This improves efficiency, safety, compliance, and scalability, and enables future AI-driven diagnostics.

From a regulatory perspective, cybersecurity and the ability to adapt quickly to changes in the IVD regulatory landscape will remain critical priorities.

Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor in the IVD industry. Reducing water consumption, waste, and consumables will gain further importance. STRATEC is committed to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, including human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption. For us, sustainable and responsible corporate governance is a long-term commitment, not a short-term trend.

If you’re looking for a reliable CLIA platform, the Diatron KleeYa® platform provides a unique approach to the use of different bead-based chemiluminescence technologies, offering superior assay performance while ensuring ease of use and cost efficiency.
